Abstract: Melbourne: Two stabbed after tracking stolen AirPods to Bunnings. Police arrested four, charging two with serious offenses. A teen was also injured.

In northern Melbourne, two men were stabbed outside a Bunnings store after tracking allegedly stolen Apple AirPods. Police were called to the Pearcedale Parade car park in Broadmeadows around 7:30 pm last night following reports of a brawl and stabbing involving males, and promptly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, police located a 40-year-old man and an 18-year-old boy, both from Glenroy, with what appeared to be stab wounds. They were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Preliminary police investigations suggest that the 18-year-old victim had his AirPods stolen at a shopping center around 6:15 pm.

It is believed that the victims then went to the Bunnings car park to confront the group suspected of stealing the AirPods. Witnesses reported seeing approximately four to five teenagers fleeing the scene. Police deployed air support and located the group entering a residence on Fir Close in Broadmeadows.

At the residence, police arrested an 18-year-old and three 19-year-old men. Police also believe that a 14-year-old boy was injured in the brawl and has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; he is expected to be interviewed by police. A 19-year-old man from Craigieburn has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, affray, and robbery.

An 18-year-old man from Meadow Heights has been charged with intentionally and recklessly causing injury and affray. Both men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today. The remaining two 19-year-old men, from Coolaroo and Broadmeadows respectively, have been granted bail and are due to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court on June 17. One is charged with affray, while the other is charged with intentionally and recklessly causing injury, affray, kicking assault, and robbery.
