Abstract: Guernsey's TGI launched Enriched, a charity providing financial aid to students 16+ for travel, equipment, & skill-building, ensuring workforce readiness.

Guernsey has established a charity aimed at providing financial support to students aged 16 and above. The charity, named Enriched, was initiated by The Guernsey Institute (TGI), a higher and technical education institution.

The Guernsey Institute stated that Enriched aims to provide students with additional assistance to "reach their full potential." Funding will be used to cover expenses for activities such as travel, purchasing equipment, preparing for employment, or setting up charitable fundraising projects, which can further cultivate students' skills.

The Guernsey Institute indicated that students participating in its courses or apprenticeship programs for those aged 16 and over can apply for the funding. Louise Misselke, Principal of The Guernsey Institute and Chair of Enriched, stated that some students are experiencing financial difficulties and need assistance.

Ms. Misselke said: "Our goal is to support students aged 16 and over at The Guernsey Institute to fully participate in education and realize their potential. Enriched will provide funding to support students, ensuring they have the best possible opportunities and helping them to be fully prepared for entering the workforce after completing their studies."

Jane Ozanne, Secretary of Enriched, added that the charity hopes to give students "the best possible start in life." She said: "These students are working hard to achieve their goals, but many need support to reach their full potential."
