Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has stated that an agreement has been reached regarding a "deal for the release of hostages." This announcement comes after Netanyahu postponed a cabinet vote, originally scheduled for Thursday, to approve a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and accused Hamas of attempting last-minute modifications to the deal.
On Friday morning, Netanyahu's office indicated that the negotiating team had informed him that all parties had reached an agreement. This news suggests a breakthrough has been achieved on the issue of hostage releases following a period of negotiations and consultations among the involved parties.
Netanyahu has ordered the political-security cabinet to convene later on Friday, and subsequently, the government will "meet to approve the agreement," Netanyahu's office added. Furthermore, the families of the hostages have also been notified, indicating that the government promptly informed the affected families after reaching the agreement.
