The Princess of Wales has revealed that her cancer is in remission after undergoing treatment earlier this year. This follows her previous hospital visits for treatment.
In a statement, the Princess expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has helped her and her husband, Prince William. "We couldn't have asked for more," she wrote. "The care and advice we have received, as a patient, have been exceptional."
Princess Kate undertook a solo engagement at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, a world-leading, state-of-the-art cancer center renowned for its groundbreaking research. She had previously received treatment there, though this was not made public at the time.
She took time to speak with patients, including Catherine Field. “I was just saying, coming through the front door here, having had so many quiet, private visits, it actually feels quite nice,” she said upon arriving at the hospital's main entrance.
Kensington Palace stated that the visit reflected her "personal cancer journey." The specific type of cancer she has been diagnosed with has not been publicly disclosed.
