Abstract: Singaporean jewelry designer & "Bling Empire" star, Lynn Ban, 51, died after brain surgery following an Aspen ski accident. Her son confirmed the death.

Lynn Ban, a renowned Singaporean jewelry designer, has tragically passed away at the age of 51. She had appeared in the Netflix reality show "Bling Empire" and had undergone brain surgery following a skiing accident. Unfortunately, she passed away a month after the surgery. Her son, Sebastian, confirmed her death in an Instagram post on Wednesday, affectionately praising her as his "best friend and the best mother."

Lynn Ban's skiing accident occurred in Aspen, USA, shortly before Christmas. Her family did not disclose the exact cause of death following the incident. In a social media post on New Year's Eve, Lynn Ban revealed that she had fallen face-first while skiing on a mountain. Although she was wearing a helmet and felt "it didn't seem too serious" at the time, and was able to ski down, she later felt "a bit of a headache" after being checked by ski patrol, and went to the hospital on the advice of medical staff.

Upon examination, Lynn Ban discovered she had a brain hemorrhage and underwent emergency craniotomy surgery. "In the blink of an eye...life can change," she wrote in her post, which included a photo of her in a hospital bed with part of her head shaved. "The road to recovery is long, but I am a survivor," she added. Lynn Ban was born in Singapore and had worked in New York, London, and Paris.

According to her personal website, her designs have been worn by pop singers such as Madonna, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, and Billie Eilish. In "Bling Empire: New York," which aired in 2023, she appeared as one of the Asian American socialites in New York City, "flaunting their wealth and fashion while bringing drama and enjoying life."

In his tribute, Sebastian expressed his hope that the world would know his mother for who she was. "Even through the difficulties of her recovery, she always had a smile on her face," he said. "She was a fighter until the very end and the strongest woman I know," he added.
