According to the fire department, an Airbus aircraft caught fire at Busan Airport in South Korea, forcing all 176 people on board to evacuate urgently. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening at the airport in southeastern South Korea, and four people were injured while escaping the Air Busan plane via inflatable slides.

It was reported that the plane, which was scheduled to fly to Hong Kong, caught fire at the rear shortly before takeoff. Firefighters arrived at the scene within minutes, attempting to extinguish the flames that had spread to the fuselage. On-site photos showed firefighters using water to put out the burning aircraft.

This incident comes less than a month after a Jeju Air plane crashed at Muan Airport in southwestern South Korea, killing 179 people with only two survivors. The fire on the Air Busan plane at Gimhae International Airport occurred around 10:26 PM local time on Tuesday (13:26 GMT), with firefighters arriving eight minutes later, according to South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, citing the South Korean fire department.

There were a total of 169 passengers and 7 crew members on board. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Air Busan is a low-cost airline, and its parent company is Asiana Airlines. Busan Airport is located approximately 315 kilometers (195 miles) southeast of the capital, Seoul.
