UAE President and Vice-President welcome international guests to World Governments Summit 2025

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, along with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, jointly welcomed guests attending the 2025 World Government Summit (WGS). The summit, themed "Shaping Future Governments," is being held in Dubai from February 11th to 13th. This summit brings together global dignitaries to explore the future direction of government development.

The 2025 World Government Summit will welcome over 30 heads of state and government, more than 80 international and regional organizations, 140 government delegations, and over 6,000 participants. Such large-scale participation reflects the summit's important position in the field of global governance. The summit is committed to building an open platform to promote exchanges and cooperation between governments.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized that the UAE will continue to be committed to supporting international cooperation to serve the development goals of global communities. His Highness stated that the World Government Summit's growing international participation consolidates its position as the premier global forum for governments, especially during this critical time of transformation and historical change. Faced with rapid and comprehensive changes, governments need to be better prepared, more proactive, and more adaptable.

This year's summit includes a rich agenda, featuring more than 200 dialogues and interactive sessions, with speeches delivered by more than 300 prominent speakers. Over 30 ministerial meetings and roundtables will convene more than 400 ministers, ultimately releasing 30 strategic reports developed in collaboration with the summit's international knowledge partners, think tanks, and academic and research institutions. In addition, the summit will host 21 global forums, focusing on the formulation of key sector strategies and the shaping of future plans. The summit also features several awards to recognize individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to building a better future.
