The next World Government Summit (WGS) will be held from February 3rd to 5th, 2026. This summit will be hosted under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

According to the Emirates News Agency WAM, this summit embodies the UAE's unwavering commitment to fostering global partnerships, exchanging valuable experiences, and pioneering innovative business models, thereby shaping a better future for humanity. These endeavors aim to promote global cooperation and address common challenges faced by nations worldwide.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE and Chairman of the World Government Summit, stated that, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the summit will continue to consolidate its role as a vital platform for shaping government work and promoting international cooperation at the highest levels. He emphasized the summit's importance and its positive impact on global governance.

Al Gergawi said: "[The twelfth edition of the World Government Summit](https://www.worldgovernmentssummit.org/events/2025) strengthened intergovernmental partnerships and exchanged best practices, which played a crucial role in developing comprehensive government strategies, policies, and visions. Al Gergawi also highlighted that the summit aims to inspire human wisdom and imagination by anticipating emerging challenges and developing effective solutions. Al Gergawi also emphasized that a prominent feature of the twelfth summit was its remarkable diversity, with governments from all continents participating. The extensive involvement of the private sector further enriched this diversity, with these sectors representing a wide range of industries crucial to shaping future global trends. The Minister emphasized that the summit's outcomes are underscored by its broad global participation, attracting over 6,000 participants.

The 2025 World Government Summit opened on Tuesday in Dubai under the theme "Shaping Future Governments," bringing together more than 30 heads of state and government, over 80 international and regional organizations, and 140 government delegations. Its agenda included 21 global forums exploring key future trends and transformations, over 200 interactive sessions, over 300 distinguished speakers (including presidents, ministers, experts, thought leaders, and policymakers), and over 30 ministerial meetings and roundtables with the participation of over 400 ministers. The summit also released 30 strategic reports in collaboration with international knowledge partners.
