British athlete Mia Brookes secured third place in the Snowboard World Cup Big Air competition held in Austria. She scored 72 points in the second round and 76 points in the third, for a total of 148 points. Austrian athlete Anna Gasser took first place with 167.75 points, while Japan's Reira Iwabuchi finished second with 157.75 points.
Brookes, 17, won the competition in Beijing last month, followed by another victory in Klagenfurt, Austria. Her outstanding performance has placed her in a tie for first place on the women's Big Air standings with 305 points, alongside Japan's Miyabi Onitsuka, with four out of five rounds now completed.
The next World Cup event for this discipline will be held in Aspen, USA on February 6th. Brookes is expected to maintain her good form in the upcoming competition and strive for even better results.
