According to Heathrow Airport, approximately 83.9 million passengers traveled through its terminals in 2024. This figure breaks historical records, surpassing 2023 by 4.7 million and exceeding the pre-pandemic annual record of 2019 by 3 million.
Heathrow Airport anticipates serving 84.2 million passengers this year. Furthermore, the airport stated that it will invest over £1 billion this year to ensure the airport can accommodate future development needs.
Heathrow Airport CEO Thomas Woldbye stated, "I am proud of all my colleagues and partners who have worked hard to provide an exceptional experience for more passengers than ever before." He added, "In 2025, we will continue to focus on providing better value for our customers and investing in the facilities that passengers and airlines expect."
