UAE, Egypt presidents discuss strengthening ties through developmental and economic collaboration

Abstract: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed met Egyptian President El-Sisi in Cairo to strengthen cooperation in development, economy and investment. They reaffirmed close ties.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, met with His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in Cairo, where they discussed the fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to deepen cooperation in various fields. The talks focused on development, economic, and investment areas, aiming to serve common interests and fulfill the aspirations of both peoples for further progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the close ties between the UAE and Egypt, while advancing cooperation in all sectors. Subsequently, President El-Sisi hosted an Iftar banquet in honor of His Highness and the accompanying delegation, as a sign of respect and goodwill.

Members of the UAE delegation attending the meeting included: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Special Affairs Advisor to the President; His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Director of the President's Strategic Affairs Office and Head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; and Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt. On the Egyptian side, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, along with several ministers and senior officials, attended the meeting.

Concluding his friendly visit to Egypt, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan departed from Cairo International Airport, heading back to the UAE, where he was seen off by President El-Sisi and several senior officials at the airport, marking the end of a successful and productive visit.
