A confrontation ensued, and a child was knocked down during the struggle. The suspect fled the scene before the police arrived. The Sheriff's Office stated, "The babysitter had an altercation with the suspect, and a child was knocked down in the conflict. The suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived."
The 27-year-old man was apprehended and arrested by law enforcement officers on Tuesday in the same neighborhood. Authorities identified the man as Martin Villalobos Jr., who previously resided at the residence and was subject to a protection order prohibiting him from being near the premises. He is currently facing multiple charges, including aggravated kidnapping and endangering a child.
Currently, Villalobos is being held in jail on a $500,000 (approximately AUD 794,000) bond. The case is under further investigation.
