The official launch of the Solomon Islands National Security Strategy 2025 marks a significant step forward for the nation in building a safer, more stable, and more prosperous future. The release of this strategy symbolizes the Solomon Islands' renewed efforts to strengthen national collective security and ensure a brighter future for all its citizens.

Solomon Islands Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele described the document as a shared vision, a comprehensive roadmap, and a call to action, aimed at protecting national sovereignty, ensuring citizen safety, and promoting sustainable development in an increasingly complex global environment. The theme of the strategy is "Unity for Security: A Shared Vision for Building a Resilient and Prosperous Solomon Islands." Prime Minister Manele emphasized that national security is closely linked to the well-being of the people, the resilience of institutions, and the protection of the natural environment.

Prime Minister Manele pointed out that the National Security Strategy 2025 supports the achievement of the fifth goal of the National Development Strategy 2016-2035 and strengthens the government's four key pillars of national policy: economic transformation, unity and stability, infrastructure development, and human capital development. He emphasized that the National Security Strategy 2025 is aligned with the government's broader development plans, ensuring that its implementation contributes to the nation's growth and stability.

Prime Minister Manele called on all stakeholders, including government departments, law enforcement agencies, local authorities, and citizens, to adopt and implement the principles, goals, and strategies outlined in the National Security Strategy 2025. "We collectively bear the responsibility of addressing future security challenges. The success of this strategy depends on the collective efforts of every Solomon Islander—citizens, communities, and institutions. The government is committed to leading and funding this strategy, but only through our active participation can we succeed."

Prime Minister Manele expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Minister of Police, National Security and Correctional Services, Jimson Fiau Tanangada, and all those who contributed to the development of the strategy, both past and present. He stated that their dedication has laid the foundation for a safer and more prosperous future for the Solomon Islands.
