RSIPF Officer Graduate from FBI National Academy

Senior Sergeant Raymond Togapada of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has made history as the first RSIPF officer to graduate from the prestigious Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, USA.

Senior Sergeant Togapada was among over 200 law enforcement officers who attended and completed the 10-week training program at the FBI National Academy on March 13th. This group marked the successful completion of the 293rd session of the FBI National Academy, with Senior Sergeant Togapada being a part of it.

The session consisted of men and women from 48 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, 24 countries, 11 military organizations, and 4 federal civilian organizations. Renowned for its international academic excellence, the FBI National Academy provides advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training, dedicated to enhancing law enforcement standards, and has long been a benchmark for professional continuing education.

Participants come from various U.S. states, U.S. territories, and over 150 partner nations. Officers attending the academy's training learn how to better address crime challenges during their training, thereby better serving their communities. The overall goal of the FBI National Academy is to support, promote, and enhance the personal and professional development of law enforcement leaders, preparing them for complex, dynamic, and contemporary challenges through innovative techniques, fostering educational and research excellence, and building partnerships worldwide.

Established in 1935, the academy's first session comprised 23 students. Over the years, the FBI National Academy has evolved into one of the world's premier law enforcement institutions.
