An Australian woman who went missing in London a week ago has been found, after police had previously made a public appeal for assistance in locating her.
Police announced just before 6 p.m. on Thursday (5 a.m. Friday AEDT) that the search for 29-year-old Jessica Parkinson had concluded, stating she had been located "safe and well."
Prior to this, the last confirmed sighting of the 29-year-old Queenslander was on December 11 in the Bermondsey area of southeast London, not far from Tower Bridge and Borough Market.
Joe Walters, the owner of Texas Joe's Slow Smoked Meats, where Parkinson worked, also told 9News that her family had been in contact with her.
Police in Sussex (which includes Eastbourne) had previously stated they were "very concerned" for Parkinson's welfare, while London police said her disappearance was "out of character."
