Abstract: Sydney gas station vandalized with racist graffiti & fuel hoses cut. Family business closed; police investigating a man on a dirt bike.

Surveillance footage shows a vandal spray-painting racist slogans on a gas station in southwestern Sydney. The incident occurred at the Westside Petroleum station on Lindesay Street in Campbelltown, a family-run business. The gas station operators posted the vandal's video on Facebook this morning, seeking community assistance in identifying the perpetrator.

The graffiti included messages such as "Die Aussie dogs" and "I hate Australia...Long live Lebanon." The footage also shows the vandal cutting the fuel hose of one of the gas pumps. The gas station operators wrote on Facebook: "We came in this morning to this regrettable graffiti and our fuel pump hoses were cut in a cowardly manner...we will pray for this person."

“It’s very heartbreaking to have to deal with these things in this day and age, running a family business. We try to do the right thing by the community, providing daily low prices on everyday essentials, and then this happens, it's very upsetting.” New South Wales Police confirmed that several fuel pumps had been cut. The gas station operators discovered the graffiti when they came to open up in the morning, and they were forced to close for the day.

New South Wales Police confirmed that they are aware of the attack and are investigating. Police are looking for a man aged in his 20s to 30s, wearing dark clothing and a blue helmet, riding a blue and black dirt bike. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them and provide any details about the vandalism.
