Abstract: Philly plane crash killed 7, including 6 on board (medical flight to Mexico) & a man on the ground. His son is critically injured. Cause investigated.

Last week's medical rescue plane crash in a Philadelphia residential area tragically resulted in the deaths of seven people. The medical examiner's office has confirmed that the father who was in the car at the time was among the victims, and with this confirmation, the identities of all the deceased have now been publicly released.

The father's young son was also in the car at the time and is currently fighting for his life. According to family members, the boy's life hangs in the balance, and his condition is extremely critical.

The twin-engine medical rescue plane, carrying a child patient, her mother, and the flight crew, crashed in Northeast Philadelphia on Friday evening, scattering flames and debris across houses and vehicles on the street. The scene of the accident was utterly chaotic.

Rescuers found one person dead inside a vehicle at the scene. The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office has now identified the deceased as Steven D'Antuono, a 37-year-old man from Philadelphia. Including D'Antuono, one person on the ground died, and all six people on board the plane perished.

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker stated on Monday that at least 24 people on the ground were injured. D'Antuono's son, Ramesses, was with his father when their car caught fire near the crash site. According to the boy's grandmother, Virgen Vieira, speaking to CNN affiliate KYW, the fire engulfed the nine-year-old boy, causing burns to 90% of his body.

Vieira stated that the boy is receiving treatment at a burn center in Boston. The family hopes to maintain privacy and is currently focused on Ramesses' recovery. Vieira told KYW, "I trust God, I trust God completely."

National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair Jennifer Homendy stated that investigators are collecting debris from the crash site to determine the cause of the fiery accident. The crash site spans four to six city blocks.

The plane's cockpit voice recorder was found at the initial impact site, along with the aircraft's enhanced ground proximity warning system, which may also contain flight data. According to the agency, both devices have been sent to the NTSB laboratory in Washington, D.C., for evaluation.

The President of Mexico stated that all six people on board the plane were Mexican citizens. A spokesperson for the flight operator, Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, Shay Gold, stated that there was a pediatric patient and her mother on board, who were returning to Mexico after receiving medical treatment in Philadelphia. City officials stated on Saturday that the girl was being treated for an illness at Shriners Children's Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia.

Gold told CNN that there were also four crew members on board – a pilot, a co-pilot, a paramedic, and a doctor. The flight was originally scheduled to stop at Springfield Airport for refueling before continuing to its final destination in Tijuana, Mexico.
