02-06, 2025The victim, William McNicholl, 63, also known as Billy, was discovered at a residence on Hawthorne Drive in Ipswich on January 1. A post-mortem examination revealed that the primary cause of death was a single stab wound, though he had also suffered head injuries.
Suffolk Police have stated that a woman was previously arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. The police had previously indicated that Mr. McNicholl, who lived alone, was last reported to have been seen on December 23.
