A traffic accident occurred in southwestern Sydney where a man riding a bicycle collided with a vehicle and is currently in hospital receiving treatment in critical condition. The accident took place at approximately 3:40 PM yesterday at the intersection of Sackville Street and Hamilton Road in Fairfield.

02-25, 2025Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene after receiving reports. The injured cyclist, a 63-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. Preliminary police investigations indicate that the vehicle involved left the scene after the accident.
At approximately 6:40 PM yesterday, police arrested a 69-year-old woman at a residence in Fairfield. Police also impounded a vehicle at the residence for forensic examination. The woman has been released pending further investigation.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or relevant video footage to immediately contact Fairfield Police Station or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 to provide leads and assist police with their investigation into this case.
