A traffic accident occurred in southwestern Sydney where a man riding a bicycle collided with a vehicle and is currently in hospital receiving treatment in critical condition. The accident took place at approximately 3:40 PM yesterday at the intersection of Sackville Street and Hamilton Road in Fairfield.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene after receiving reports. The injured cyclist, a 63-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. Preliminary police investigations indicate that the vehicle involved left the scene after the accident.
At approximately 6:40 PM yesterday, police arrested a 69-year-old woman at a residence in Fairfield. Police also impounded a vehicle at the residence for forensic examination. The woman has been released pending further investigation.
