Murder charge laid after 'caring, generous' father died on his morning walk

The man found on a walking path in Adelaide's north has been identified as 54-year-old Aaron Starhutt.

The father from Marsden is being remembered by loved ones as a caring, loving, and generous person. A woman close to Starhutt visited the scene where he was found yesterday to lay flowers.

Emergency services were called to a walking path in Brougham Gardens, between Brougham Place and King William Road, at approximately 7:45 am yesterday after reports of an unresponsive man. Paramedics arrived at the scene and found Starhutt unresponsive.

Paramedics attempted CPR and transported him to the hospital, but were unable to revive him. This morning, a 20-year-old man from Adelaide's north was arrested and is expected to appear in court today.

An autopsy will be conducted today. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online.
