It also reaffirms the leadership's appreciation for government employees as key contributors to these successes.

In 2023, Sheikh Hamdan approved the disbursement of performance bonuses totaling AED 152 million to civilian employees of Dubai government entities. A recent survey revealed that 75% of UAE residents expect to receive a bonus in 2025, a significant increase compared to 68% last year. The survey, commissioned by Zurich International Life and conducted by YouGov, showed that 68% of residents plan to save at least a portion of their bonus as part of their long-term financial strategy, indicating a growing financial awareness across the Emirates.

Meanwhile, 31% plan to spend at least a portion of their bonus. A groundbreaking trend emerged this year, with the survey revealing that 27% plan to invest in developing skills such as artificial intelligence. This reflects a trend of valuing both financial security and enjoyment and personal growth, thereby fostering a balanced financial mindset across the nation.
