Abstract: Israeli tank fire killed two Palestinians in Rafah despite ceasefire. Aid is entering Gaza, but needs remain high. War death toll: 47,283+ Palestinians, 1,139 Israelis.

According to Al Jazeera, civil defense officials in the Gaza Strip stated that at least two Palestinians were killed by Israeli tank fire in the western part of the Tal Sultan neighborhood in Rafah, southern Gaza. Reuters reported on Thursday that the Israeli military said it was investigating reports of the attack.

This attack occurred after a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas, which went into effect on Sunday. The initial phase of the ceasefire agreement is scheduled to last six weeks and includes a limited exchange of prisoners, a partial withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, and the entry of significant amounts of aid into the Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum, reporting from Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, stated that more than 3,200 aid trucks have entered Gaza in the first four days of the ceasefire. "The arrival of aid has brought some relief to the people. Humanitarian organizations have begun distributing aid from centers across Gaza. Civilians are lining up at the doors of these aid centers, desperately hoping to receive these supplies," he said.

However, he added that people are still suffering due to the rainfall and the search for alternative shelter, particularly families returning to their destroyed homes. Since October 7, 2023, Israel's war on Gaza has resulted in at least 47,283 Palestinian deaths and 111,472 injuries. In the Hamas-led attack on that day, at least 1,139 Israelis were killed and over 200 were taken captive.
