Abstract: Childish Gambino cancels Australia/NZ tour due to post-surgery recovery. He previously canceled US/Europe shows for health issues. Refunds provided.

Renowned artist Childish Gambino has announced the cancellation of his world tour performances in Australia and New Zealand. The rapper, known for his song "This is America," whose real name is Donald Glover, informed ticket holders via email that he had to cancel his local shows next year due to a longer-than-expected post-surgery recovery time.

In his statement, Glover said, "Unfortunately, my recovery is taking longer than I had hoped." He added, "One of the last things I want to do is let my fans down. I'm so grateful for your support and know that I will do everything I can to give you an amazing experience when the time is right. Thank you all."

Glover had originally planned to hold his "New World" tour in New Zealand at the end of January next year, and in Australia in early February. Previously, in October, he was forced to cancel his North American and European shows due to health issues that required surgery. At the time, he posted on X, stating, "After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to determine an issue that had presented itself. After evaluation, I determined I could not perform that night and after further testing, I could not complete the US tour in the time requested. I have now scheduled surgery and need time to recover. I need to take my recovery seriously."

All ticket holders who purchased tickets through the Ticketek agency will receive a full refund. This news has undoubtedly disappointed long-awaiting fans, but they also understand that Glover needs time to recover his health.
