Abstract: Tsitsipas won the Dubai Championships, his first ATP 500 title, defeating Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 6-3. It's his 12th tour-level title, returning him to top 10.

Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships, winning his first ATP 500 title.

The 26-year-old Greek player delivered an outstanding performance, defeating his in-form Canadian opponent with a score of 6-3, 6-3. This victory marks a significant breakthrough in Tsitsipas's professional career.

As the fourth seed in the tournament, Tsitsipas had previously reached the final twice, losing to Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer in 2019 and 2020, respectively. This championship win makes up for his previous regrets.

This victory on Saturday marks the 12th tour-level title for the world No. 11 Tsitsipas, and the biggest outdoor hard-court trophy of his career. He defeated the 24-year-old Auger-Aliassime in 1 hour and 28 minutes, who leads the ATP Tour this season with 16 match wins and two titles. As a result, Tsitsipas will also return to the world's top ten on Monday, for the first time since May 2024.
