03-26, 2025According to local media reports, Disney World stated that the fire was triggered by a walk-in refrigerator catching fire on Saturday afternoon, local time. Following the outbreak of the fire, the "Remy's Ratatouille Adventure" ride was immediately evacuated.
Currently, there have been no reports of injuries or casualties. Disney confirmed that the fire was extinguished at approximately 7:20 PM local time. Videos circulating on social media show thick smoke rising from the scene.
EPCOT is one of the four major theme parks within the Walt Disney World Resort. Following the fire, the park closed as originally scheduled, with the fire occurring approximately two hours before closing time.
