Abstract: Swiss socialite Jocelyne Wildenstein, known for cosmetic surgery, died at 79 (or 84) from a pulmonary embolism. Her partner, Lloyd Klein, announced her passing.

The partner of Swiss socialite Jocelyne Wildenstein has revealed that she has passed away. Jocelyne was well-known for her numerous cosmetic surgeries. Her partner and fashion designer, Lloyd Klein, released the news to Agence France-Presse on Tuesday, stating, "An icon has left us."

Mr. Klein told Agence France-Presse that she was 79 years old at the time of her death, while other media outlets reported her age as 84. Mr. Klein said she died of a pulmonary embolism on New Year's Eve at a luxury hotel in Paris. "The doctor called to the scene made a preliminary report stating she suffered from heart failure and passed away peacefully in her sleep," added Mr. Klein.

Born Jocelyne Perisset in Switzerland, she became a New York socialite after marrying art dealer Alec Wildenstein, with whom she had two children. She kept his last name after their divorce in the late 1990s. The socialite, who was keen on cosmetic surgery, had over a million followers on Instagram and was dubbed "Catwoman" by tabloids for her cat-like eye shape. She told French media in recent months that she had been living between New York and Miami.

Her last video post was on December 23rd, in which she and Mr. Klein posed for photographers outside the Ritz Hotel in Paris, set to the music of Wham's "Last Christmas." This fall, she told French television news channel C8, "I never wanted to change my face." She admitted that she might have wanted her lips a little fuller, but said that she did not undergo plastic surgery to win back her ex-husband.

According to Mr. Klein, she received a $2.5 billion settlement from the divorce, which was one of the most expensive divorces at the time. When asked if she had found love again, she said that she was with Mr. Klein, who is 21 years her junior. Mr. Klein said in his written statement, "Mr. Klein and Wildenstein met during New York Fashion Week in 2001 when he was presenting his fashion collection on the runway. She was a front-row guest, and after that show, the two started a relationship and have been inseparable ever since."

"Jocelyne was my best friend, my partner, my fiancée," he said. "She loved life and had a mischievous sense of humor."
