Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho stated that there have been no reports indicating any police station or community outpost refusing to investigate drug-related cases. He emphasized that all reports will be thoroughly investigated.

Addressing concerns regarding the handling of drug cases at the Suva Levuka Police Station, Commissioner Qiliho assured, "We can confirm that all drug cases received at the Levuka Police Station are being processed and thoroughly investigated." He pointed out that the police have established strict protocols and training for officers to ensure effective responses to drug incidents.

Commissioner Qiliho also mentioned, "We have regular assessment and feedback mechanisms in place to monitor the performance of police stations." Furthermore, the police are collaborating with community outreach programs to raise public awareness through community engagement and encourage the reporting of drug-related activities. He made it clear that officers have no authority to refuse to investigate, including cases involving drugs.

Commissioner Qiliho stressed, "We have no authority to refuse to investigate any reports made at the police station, including drug cases. Our internal affairs department acts as an oversight body to ensure all systems and processes are diligently followed." However, he added that any complaints received would be investigated promptly.
