During the evening, Kieran Culkin won the first award for "A Real Pain," defeating Australian actor Guy Pearce. Subsequently, Zoe Saldaña won the Best Supporting Actress award for her outstanding performance in "Emilia Pérez," adding another accomplishment to her glorious awards season. Her dedication to the role truly shone through.

Host Conan O'Brien kicked off the ceremony with his signature satirical humor. He poked fun at Hollywood's annual extravaganza, the Oscars, remarking that it "starts at four in the afternoon." He also joked about himself, saying, "I know what you're thinking: 'Hasn't Conan had any plastic surgery? He looks really old.'" In addition, he made light of Netflix's price increases.
