Attorney General Graham Leung recently publicly condemned the open disputes between senior officials, arguing that such behavior is detrimental to both the institution and the government. He emphasized that these disputes must cease.
Attorney General Leung pointed out that the President has instructed the Director of Public Prosecutions (Christopher Pryde) to return to his post and commence work, and this directive must be respected. He added that relevant staff must assist Director Pryde's return to work in an orderly manner.
Attorney General Leung also stated that Mr. Pryde has been declared not guilty by a three-judge Constitutional Court, and any further allegations or misconduct should be addressed through legal procedures. He was referring to the recent verbal exchanges between Mr. Pryde and senior officials within the Public Prosecutor's Office.
