Australian snowboarders delivered an outstanding performance at the World Cup event held in Montafon, Austria, with Adam Lambert and Josie Baff both reaching the podium, securing two silver medals for the Australian team.
Lambert clinched the silver medal in the men's individual event, marking the 27-year-old's second consecutive World Cup podium finish. He navigated through the competition, winning all his heats and successfully advancing to the final. In the final, he faced three formidable French competitors: Loan Bozzolo, Aidan Chollet, and Merlin Surget. Ultimately, Bozzolo took home the gold, while Chollet secured the bronze.
Lambert partnered with Baff in the mixed team event and finished second in the final. The Australian team narrowly missed out on the gold medal, losing to the French duo of Bozzolo and Julia Pereira de Sousa.
Baff finished fourth in the women's individual final. France's Leïa Casta claimed the gold medal, followed by her compatriot Pereira de Sousa with the silver, and Great Britain's Charlotte Bankes with the bronze.
Lambert and Baff will represent Australia at the World Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland, next week, with hopes for further success. They are aiming to build on their recent performances and challenge for medals once again.
